The Cheat Code Nobody Talks About
When people ask me how I’ve grown multiple businesses, they usually expect me to say something like:
I figured out the perfect ad funnel.
I found a secret sales script.
I hacked the algorithm.
But here’s the truth:
The real cheat code isn’t a tactic. It’s a room.
The fastest way to grow your business is to put yourself in the right rooms with the right people.
Because business is less about what you know, and more about who you know, and who knows you. For me, I found TRIBE.

Why the “Right Rooms” Change Everything
When you’re building a business, you’re in your own bubble. You see the same problems every day, and eventually, your solutions all look the same. You start running in circles.
Peer groups and masterminds exist to break that cycle. They force you to level up by putting you around people who:
We are ahead of you on the journey and can hand you the playbook.
We are in the trenches alongside you and can share what’s working now.
Have networks you could never build alone.
The real benefit isn’t just the knowledge, it’s the collisions.
That one casual conversation that unlocks a new idea.
That one introduction that saves you six months.
That one piece of advice that helps you avoid a $50,000 mistake.
This is why I joined TRIBE. It’s why I invest in peer groups. And it’s why some of the biggest leaps in my business didn’t come from working harder; they came from being in better rooms.
Real Stories That Prove It Works
I’ll give you a few examples that still blow my mind:
🔹 The Distribution Deal
One business owner in TRIBE was grinding for months trying to land distribution. Within 30 days of joining, someone in the group introduced him to the exact partner he needed. That single connection turned into a 7-figure contract. No marketing campaign. No cold outreach. Just the right room.
🔹 The Sales Pipeline Shortcut
Another member had plateaued because his sales team couldn’t get enough qualified leads. Someone else in the mastermind had already solved that bottleneck and handed him the process. Within weeks, he was filling his pipeline nationally, something that would have taken him years on his own.
🔹 The Shortcut I Needed
Personally, joining a mastermind gave me access to people who had already scaled schools and consulting businesses past $10M. The lessons I picked up in one quarter saved me years of trial and error. Just last month, a casual conversation in TRIBE connected me with someone who opened doors to a national nonprofit partnership that’s now fueling student enrollments for multiple schools. That’s not something you “Google” your way into; you need the room.
Why Most Business Owners Get Stuck
Here’s the reality: most business owners never escape the grind because they stay stuck in their own echo chambers.
They rely on Google searches, YouTube videos, and advice from friends who’ve never built what they’re trying to build.
That’s like trying to train for the NFL by playing catch in your backyard. You’ll improve, sure. But if you want to actually compete, you need to be around people already playing at that level.
When you’re in the wrong rooms, the ceiling is low. People can’t introduce you to the right opportunities because they don’t have access to them.
But when you’re in the right room, the floor rises. Suddenly, what once felt impossible is just… normal.
How to Choose the Right Room
Not every group is created equal. Some are just glorified networking clubs where everyone is trying to pitch each other. Avoid those.
The right peer group or mastermind has a few key traits:
Curation – You’re surrounded by serious business owners, not just anyone with a LinkedIn account.
Diversity of Experience – Some members are ahead of you, some are at your level, and some are right behind you. That mix creates value in every direction.
Access – The group gives you access to mentors, partners, and opportunities you couldn’t get alone.
Accountability – It’s not just talk. The structure forces you to take action.
For me, TRIBE checks all those boxes. Every call, every Slack thread, every in-person meetup leads to new ideas, connections, and momentum.
The Bottom Line
Business is lonely when you try to do it all by yourself. It’s slow when you try to reinvent the wheel. And it’s dangerous when you don’t know what you don’t know.
The right rooms change that. They give you leverage. They give you perspective. They give you opportunities you’d never touch otherwise.
So here’s the question I’ll leave you with:
👉 Who’s in your corner right now?
👉 Who’s pushing you to think bigger?
👉 Who can connect you to the doors you can’t open on your own?
Because if you’re not in the right room, you’re moving slower than you need to. And if you are in the right room, you already know how fast things can change.
Until Next Time
Control what YOU can control, take action, and don’t forget to smile.
