“Month 5: The Part Where You Want to Quit”

Month 1 is exciting.
Month 2 is full of ideas.
Month 3? You're still holding on.

But month 4 to 6?

That’s when reality hits like a late tuition payment.

You start asking:

  • “Why isn’t revenue where I thought it would be?”

  • “Shouldn’t I have more enrollments by now?”

  • “Did I just build the world's most expensive hobby?”

It’s the phase where many school owners start feeling burnt out... and start looking at job boards "just to see what's out there."

But before you jump ship, ask yourself:

Am I really doing everything I can to succeed?
Not some things. Not the easy things.
Everything.

How are other schools doing 20- 50k per month? Have you asked them?

Am I using out-of-the-box strategies... or am I just repackaging the same stale stuff and expecting a different result?

Am I truly putting in the time this business needs, or am I just checking in when I “feel inspired”?
Success doesn’t come from dabbling. It comes from daily deposits.

Here’s the truth:
Most people quit before they’ve actually tried everything.

They don’t follow up with leads.
They don’t cold call local workforce boards.
They don’t partner with local organizations.
They don’t test 5 different offers or ideas.
They just hope something sticks and then get mad when it doesn’t.

But you’re not most people.

You didn’t come this far to kinda sorta give it a shot.

You’re building something that has the power to change lives, yours and your students.

So if you’re in that Month 5 slump, here’s your permission slip to stop waiting... and start swinging.

Try everything.
Talk to everyone.
Test what’s weird.
And don’t leave the kitchen just because the cake hasn’t risen yet.

The oven's still on.

And the best stuff takes a little longer to bake. (My wife told me to add that part:)

Take Action Challenge:

Pick one thing you haven’t tried yet. Cold email or cold call a nonprofit. Call a high school. Rewrite your offer. Run a $50 ad. Host a free info night on Zoom. Call employers. Call companies that can potentially hire your grads.
