I went international (and the problems were the same)
+$20K/month for a school 8,000 miles away
Hey everyone, check this out.
Quick story from this week.
I worked with a trade school in Johannesburg, South Africa. My first international client.
They came to me with a problem I hear almost every week: plenty of interest, not enough enrollments. Leads were coming in, but too many students went quiet before they ever started.
What we fixed
The enrollment process. We mapped every step from first inquiry to first day of class. There were gaps where students simply had no clear next step. We closed them.
The scripts. Their admissions conversations were pitching the program instead of understanding the student. We rewrote every script around the student's goals, their obstacles, and a clear path forward.
The communications. Texts, emails, follow-ups, reminders. We overhauled all of it so no student falls through the cracks between "I'm interested" and "I'm enrolled."
The result: an extra $20K per month.
The lesson
I expected a new country to bring new problems. It didn't.
Different funding systems. Different trades. Different students. Same breakdowns.
The school wasn't struggling because of its market. It was struggling because of its process. And process is fixable anywhere.
Your move this week
Pull your last 30 inquiries. Count how many became starts. Then look at where the rest stopped responding.
That drop-off point is where your money is hiding.
